Changmin is Spectacular…
March 11, 2008And should not be cut.

I haven’t watched the second ep of Line Up yet and now I’ll probably be putting it off even more because of the lack of showtime (once again) Changmin gets.
Honestly, I didn’t enjoy the first ep very much. I’d never watched Line Up before so I guess I didn’t have a real feel of the show nor did I fully understand what the show is about…actually I once watched a Line Up cut featuring SuJu which was funny…so I think that’s why I was even more disappointed when I watched it with DBSK.
So why did I not really enjoy it? The ‘activities’ or components of this show don’t really flow! Like, the counselling section is quite original but the punishment that the teams get if they’re advice isn’t good enough actually made me cringe as opposed to laugh. Having a clip/peg pulled off one’s ear is painful I can assure, let alone to have it pulled off via a string while in the hands of a DBSK member. Not saying that DBSK are violent but they’re not weak. Maybe it looked more painful than it really was….but…no.
Yoochun’s story was quite amusing but they cut out Junsu and Changmin’s bit so that’s another 10 points gone. And it wasn’t even as if Junsu’s and Changmin’s problem weren’t worth watching. Coz it was! Perhaps if Changmin had brought on the issue of constantly getting cut off shows then they would’ve given him some more air time.
Which makes me think of something else.
Yesung.
(Oops. I should’ve said ’someone’ else…hahaha.)
So Yesung’s problem was that he felt he was the most unpopular out of SuJu and not getting the attention he deserves. What happened after that? All the cameras started going his direction and the rest of SuJu were also frantically trying to promote him. Which was sweet. Except I didn’t actually think that was a problem to begin with since being in a group of 13 is really hard so if one gets less of the spotlight than the other it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re unpopular. But Changmin’s problem has kinda been obvious from the start.
Once upon a time when I used to post on forums (I still do….just not as often) there would always be lil popularity contests and who would always come last? My lovely Changmin. Of course I am generalising here but the fact that there are even those stupid polls or whatever is ridiculous. So when they came out with rankings from countries other than Korea and Changmin was noted to be no.1 of the five in Japan I was ecstatic.
But then when his TRICK single was released and he came 20th while the other members have been able to secure a top 10 spot, that worried me.
Don’t get me wrong. I am very happy for the others to have done so well but I can’t help but feel a little sad for Changmin since I’m sure he works just as hard. Which was why I hated this whole idea from the start. Apart from making me having to crawl back to work in order to earn money for these singles it is, indirectly, a scheme to find who’s most popular. Though I am sure I am/was looking into this a little too much.
Okay I got really carried away.
Um, where was I?
Oh yeah. So in the preview for the second ep of Line Up I actually saw Changmin so I was full pumped to watch it. But then I read that once again he got very little airtime. I guess I’ll have to watch for myself to see whether its adequate or not but my incentive to do so kinda flew out the window.
….
I sound like an angry child don’t I?
Well I’m not. I’m perfectly pleasant ![]()
But studying drives one insane every now and then. And this is just my way of releasing my anger…*smiles*
